A statue of one- time world famous comedian Charlie Chaplin has become a bone of contention between artistes and radical hindu activists in Karnataka. Artistes from the theatre and movie industry of Karnataka on Friday staged a protest against the moral policing by some Hindu activists against a regional language film director from setting up a statue of Charlie Chaplin near Udupi in Kanara district of Karnataka.
