China downplays Modi’s remarks on Arunachal Pradesh

China sought to downplay remarks by BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, who said that the disputed territory of Arunachal Pradesh was an integral part of India and urged China to abandon its "mindset of expansion". Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying, said that China was dedicated to promoting friendly relations with its neighbours and the resolving of disputes via talks.
