India's communist party on Sunday said that it would oppose a proposed anti-terror law if it contained draconian clauses. Central Law Minister Hansraj Bhardwaj earlier of December 13 told a meeting of jurists that the government planned to bring in an anti-terror law to tackle terrorism effectively. India's security agencies have long been criticized for lacking a cohesive counter-terrorism plan and poor intelligence gathering and analysis.
