Congress party gears up for Maharashtra's assembly polls

Gearing up for the October 13 provincial polls in Maharashtra, chief of central ruling Congress party, Sonia Gandhi on Monday hoped the Congress-led coalition with regional Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) would retain power. Gandhi was addressing party workers in Mumbai after inaugurating a new regional party office named after her husband and former Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.
