Congress rules out possibility of alliances at national level

Congress party which heads the central ruling coalition Government, on Thursday ruled out any possibility of alliances in the upcoming general elections to the Parliament. This was the preliminary decision taken at the Congress Working Committee meeting held in New Delhi where it was resolved that the party will work in close tandem with its State units where the party is sharing power with other political parties.
