Congress, SP welcomes SC’s verdict on statue row

India's socialist Samajwadi Party on Friday demanded the dismissal of Uttar Pradesh government after the apex court issued a show cause notice for not halting construction work at a park in state capital Lucknow, glorifying party icons. Meanwhile, Rita Bahuguna Joshi, congress president of Uttar Pradesh state unit, also welcomed the SC's verdict.
