Cops lathicharge protesting teachers in Patna

The peaceful protest by a group of contract teachers in Patna outside Bihar Assembly took a serious turn after the city police resorted to lathicharge against them on Tuesday. The protesting teachers had been demanding that their jobs should be made permanent and they should get equal pay for equal work.
