CPI-M demonstrates against killing of its leaders

Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) leaders today waged a demonstration in Kolkata against the killing of two of their leaders. CPI-M former legislator Pradip Tah and another leader from CPI-M Kamal Gayen were attacked with spears and rods allegedly by four members from the state ruling Trinamool Congress party. Gayen was hacked to death and Tah succumbed to his injuries at Kolkata Hospital after being transferred there from the Burdwan Medical College. However, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, claimed that the incident was an outcome of “public outrage and internal squabbles of the CPM”.
