Curfew lifted in Kashmir, life back to normal
After days of protests and unrest, life returned to normal as curfew was lifted from all parts of Kashmir on Tuesday. Above all, separatists did not give any call for demonstration, protest or a shutdown. The hardline Hurriyat group headed by Syed Ali Geelani asked people to resume normal activities of life for a day Tuesday and buy essential items. Markets in Srinagar were buzzing live with people shopping, which otherwise looked deserted over the past couple of week with down shutters. Private and public transport plied on the roads while shops, educational institutions, banks, post offices, government offices and other business establishments resumed their services.
