Dense fog and bitter cold enveloped the Capital early on Friday morning, sending shivers down on many early morning walkers, throwing rail and air traffic off gear. The worst hit were the morning air travellers as runway visibility at the New Delhi airport dropped below normal, delaying most in-bound and out-bound flights. The train services to the Capital were also affected. Winter has set in firmly. It was a bitterly cold morning in most parts of north, east and northwest India.
