Devotees celebrate Janmashtami all over India

Devotees thronged to temples in Mathura and all over the country on Wednesday to celebrate Janmashtami, which marks the birth of Lord Krishna, with fervour and joy. Mathura is considered the birthplace of Lord Krishna – regarded as the eighth incarnation of Vishnu, the preserver of the universe.
