Diarrhoea outbreak in J&K, army's help sought

Three people have died and 900 have fallen ill following the outbreak of diarrhoea in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir. District administration has now sought the help from the Army to tackle the situation. The Chief Medical Officer blamed the constant rain in the region for contamination of the water, which led to the outbreak. Meanwhile, patients have expressed satisfaction with the facilities provided by army and district administration. The Army has put up eight tents in which five doctors and 26 paramedics have been providing aid to the affected patients round the clock.
