Digvijay asks Anna Hazare to 'follow Constitution'

Assailing the hunger strike against corruption proposed by Anna Hazare, Congress senior leader Digvijay Singh asked the anti-graft crusader to follow the tenets of the Constitution. Speaking to mediapersons at New Delhi on Sunday, Singh lashed out at Hazare for refusing to call off his campaign against the government-drafted version of the lokpal bill by contending that elected lawmakers, and not 'street protestors' had the right to frame legislations. In a bid to derail Hazare's campaign, Congress party, citing an earlier judicial probe report, accused the Gandhian activist's Hind Swaraj Trust of corrupt practices. According to certain news channels, the report, drafted by justice PB Sawant in 2005, revealed certain financial irregularities observed in the transactions of the Trust.
