Disruptions expected due to trade union protests

The 24-hour nationwide strike called by trade unions and government employees have hit banking, transport and government services across the country including major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai. The unions are opposing rising prices, disinvestment of profit-making PSUs and the violation of labour laws.
