Drass reels in with deficiency of medical services

Drass area of Kargil district, the second coldest inhabited place in the world, is marred by a number of problems due to its geographical features. One of the most basic problems is that of inadequate healthcare. There is a large shortfall in trained medical staff at the hospitals. The sub-district hospital of Drass has only two doctors when there are eight such posts. Though the hospitals have machines, they are not used due to lack of manpower.
