Floods cripple normal life in Gujarat, Haryana

Incessant rains have caused flash floods in Surat, crippling normal life in the city. Water has entered the residential areas, while houses in nearby villages have collapsed due to the force of the water. Commuters are facing troubles due to roads either being cut off by the floodwaters, or closed as precautionary measures. Villagers complained that they expected help from the government, but were not given any aid.
