GDP to grow at least 8 PCT in FY11: Manmohan Singh

Addressing the parliament on Friday, India 's Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said that the economy would grow by at least 8 percent in the year that begins April 1, after expanding 7.2-7.5 per cent in 2009-10. Singh further said that his government would take all practical measures to bring down food prices. Singh also added that his government would continue its commitment to encourage more public and private sector investment in agriculture.
