Himachal Pradesh gearing up to face recession

The global recession has engulfed various sectors in Himachal Pradesh including tourism, real estate, industrial units and chemical and mineral sectors. The state is thereby gearing up to face the possible impact of global recession. Himachal Pradesh's economy largely depends upon horticulture, tourism and hydroelectric power generation. The inflationary trend coupled with economic slump has begun to dampen the consumer demand.
