Hindu lawyers oppose amicable settlement in Babri case

Hindu lawyers in Lucknow on Friday opposed the idea of an out of court settlement after the verdict on the 1992 Babri Mosque demolition case, which is due on September 24. Meanwhile, a plea to defer verdict on the case was rejected by the Allahabad High Court today. This means that the verdict in the 60-year case will be pronounced on September 24.
