Tribals in Manipur celebrated the post harvest festival Lamkut Lam with gaiety and fanfare on February 13. The festival was formally kicked off with the unfurling of the Komrem flag. Lamkut Lam is a dance festival, which has been practiced since ancient times. However, the present Lamkut festival is being organized to promote and revive the traditional culture of Komrem tribe.
