India, Pak begin talks since 2008 attacks

India and Pakistan began their first official talks since the 2008 Mumbai attacks on Thursday, a meeting that is unlikely to lead to an immediate breakthrough but may help thaw their frigid relations. Pakistan Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir and his Indian counterpart Nirupama Rao met in a colonial mansion in a heavily guarded New Delhi.
