After a protest in neck-deep water for 17 days in Madhya Pradesh's Khandwa district, the protesting villagers today had a victory of sorts after Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan agreed to reduce the water level at the Omkareshwar Dam to 189 metre. He has also agreed to form a five-member committee that will look at all their demands in the next three months. Chouhan has also agreed on the land for land demand as per the GRA order to rehabilitate the displaced protestors.
