Jewellery traders rue increase duty on gold in the budget

Jewellery traders in Rajkot on Tuesday lamented loss of business due to rise in import duty on gold announced by the finance minister Pranab Mukherjee in the budget. Jewellery traders said the exemption of branded jewellery from excise duty will have marginal effect on the traders as only few customers buy branded jewellery.
