Kasab's mercy plea rejected by Home Ministry

The Home Ministry on Monday rejected the mercy plea of Mohammed Ajmal Amir Kasab, the sole terrorist caught alive during the 26/11 Mumbai attacks in which 166 people were killed. The Home Ministry has sent its recommendation to President Pranab Mukherjee, who will now take the final decision whether to commute Kasab's death sentence to life imprisonment.
