'Kashmiriyat' encompassed a synthesis of several religions

On a serene hillock in Thana Mandi in Rajouri town stands a 19th century AD dargah or mausoleum of a Sufi seer Baba Gulab Shah. Located 110 miles from Jammu, the dargah is popularly called Shadra Sharif. People from all faith visit the durgah, who believe their prayers are answered with the blessing of the Baba. Legend has it that the Sufi seer came here from Rawalpindi in Paksitan to preach religious tolerance in the region.
