Kolkata taxi drivers call strike, demand fare hike

Nearly 30,000 taxis will remain off the roads in Kolkata today demanding a fare hike. However, the state government has already ruled out the suggestion leading to a threat of indefinite strike issued by the taxi associations. The 24-hour strike started this morning.
