Krishna assures aid to diamond merchants detained by China

S M Krishna, India's external affairs minister said on Wednesday that India would provide assistance to the 21 diamond merchants detained by China, within the existing legal framework. However, Krishna also cautioned against indulging in speculation. He said that Indian officials were given Consular access to the detained Indians.
