LGBT pride parade demands repeal of Section 377 in Bengaluru

The LGBT community protested against the anti-homosexual law by organising a pride parade in Bengaluru on Sunday. Slogan-shouting and placards were part of the parade as members and supporters of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community demanded equal rights for themselves from the government. The Supreme Court in December 2013 outraged activists when it reinstated a law against gay sex, following a four-year period of decriminalization, which had helped bring homosexuality into the open in India.
