Muslims observe first day of Ramzaan in Srinagar

Muslims in Srinagar offered Namaz on Tuesday, the first day of the month of Ramzaan. Muslims from all walks of life gathered at a local madarasa to offer prayers at the beginning of their fast. The authorities facilitated the exercise by lifting curfew in some parts of the region. Ramzaan propagates a message of peace and harmony among people, besides a spirit of self abstinence.
