National Child Awards presented to genius kids

Chairperson of ruling United Progressive Alliance, Sonia Gandhi on Thursday gave away the awards to all genius kids in New Delhi. She also noted that protection of child rights are of utmost importance for the UPA Government, and to this end, a National Commission for Protection of Child Rights was set up. Minister for Women and Child Development, Renuka Chowdhury, presided over this function.
