Deputy Inspector General of Police (South Kashmir) Showket Watali on Sunday in Anantnag district said that militants are directly involved in instigating youths in the state to disrupt the law and order situation by indulging in violent protests, and pelting security forces with stones. He also said the interrogation of four people, recently arrested in connection with militancy-related incidents in the Kashmir Valley, revealed a thriving nexus between Pakistan-based groups and stone-pelters. Police also recovered a huge cache of arms, ammunition and explosives from the arrested.
