No bail to Kani, senior lawyer surprised

Senior Advocate Amin Lekhi was today surprised over a Delhi court's decision rejecting the bail plea of DM MP Kanimozhi along with seven other accused in the 2G-spectrum allocation case. Dismissing the bail plea, the court also added, "By no stretch of imagination Kanimozhi can be said to be suffering from any discrimination on ground of being a woman." The verdict means the all the 8b accused in the case will all have to now remain in prison for another week. The DMK will now move High Court against Kani's bail denial.
