NSFs reject policy draft, term it draconian

The National Sports Federations (NSFs) have decided to reject the National Sports Development Bill, the draft of which was prepared by the Sports Ministry. Terming it draconian and an effort by the government to overtake sport bodies, the officials of 25 of the 34 NSFs, who met in New Delhi on Sunday to discuss the draft, decided to oppose the proposed legislation. G. S. Sandhu, President, Netball Federation of India, said that the federations unanimously believed that the Bill was extremely controlling.
