Odisha Crisis: Maoist leader's wife freed

Maoist ultra Sabyasachi Panda's wife, Subhasree Das alias Milli Panda was released by a local court citing lack of evidence in the Rayagada district of Odisha. Das had been accused of being involved in a fierce shootout between security personnel and Maoists in 2003. After the hearing, Das told mediapersons that she had been released not due to any 'external pressure,' but solely for the fact that she was innocent.
