Opposition demands President's rule

Opposition in Jharkhand on Friday demanded imposition of President's rule consequent to a political crisis following chief minister, Shibu Soren's debacle in getting elected to the State's legislative assembly. Soren needed to win an assembly poll within six months to remain the Chief Minister, lost the Tamar assembly election to his main opponent, Raja Peter. Soren was in New Delhi to meet the central-ruling UPA leadership to decide the future course of strategy.
