Pm calls for urban development

The Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh on Tuesday called for public-private partnership to solve housing problems of the urban population that is living in unacceptable conditions in various slums. While speaking at the inaugural function of the National Conference on Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission, Singh said that systematic efforts to improve Indian cities have been long overdue.
