PM to dedicate township to Kashmiri Pandits

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh arrived on a day-long visit in Jammu today, to dedicate a township to Kashmiri Pandits and to take part in a university's convocation. Amid heavy downpour Prime Minister Singh was received at the airport by the state's Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. Singh immediately left for the Raj Bhavan where he met Governor N. N. Vohra and had a discussion with him on various issues, including the security situation in the state. Singh is scheduled to attend the third convocation of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agriculture Sciences.
