Politically volatile Goa goes to vote

The people of Goa voted for the assembly elections on Saturday and it was expected to be a close race between the ruling Congress Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party. Even as 10 lakh odd voters in the state prepared to elect a new 40-member House, the vital question remained -- whether the election would end instability in the politically volatile state.
