Pranab given additional charge of Finance Ministry

India's Foreign Minister Pranab Mukherjee on Friday was given the additional charge of Finance Ministry during the absence of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who is admitted to hospital. A Presidential House communiqué said that Mukherjee would hold additional charge from Saturday until the recovery of the Prime Minister Singh from medical treatment. Mukherjee confirmed about his new responsibility.
