Pranab Mukherjee holds pre-budget discussions

Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee on Thursday pointed out the need to find ways to bring the economy back to higher growth path without increasing the fiscal deficit. According to the statement issued Mukherjee told the finance ministers of states that the government would focus on infrastructure, agriculture and employment generating sectors to promote growth and protect jobs.
