Rising firecrackers prices fail to dampen Diwali

Rising prices of firecrackers fail to dampen the spirit of Diwali as thousands of people throng firecrackers market in Chennai. Celebrating Diwali with firecrackers might be a costly affair this year as the prices have gone up by 25 per cent approximately. Dealers of firecrackers said that increase in labor cost and high transport charges are reasons behind the escalating costs.
