Singapore PM calls for investment in India

Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, who is on a two-day visit to India with an aim to strengthen bilateral ties between the two countries, has called for more investments in India by Singapore companies. He later addressed a business meeting organised by Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry in India (Assocham), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). Speaking at the business luncheon in New Delhi, Lee said India was on the road to growth and asked Singapore companies to invest more in the country. Lee also asked India to get involved in the ASEAN assimilation efforts.
