Sonia’s Rajasthan visit: Flood victims breach security zone

In a bid to express their plight, flood victims disrupted the convoy of Congress chief Sonia Gandhi during her visit to inundated areas, following torrential downpour in Rajasthan. Sonia and chief minister Ashok Gehlot met affected farmers, assuring them compensation and relief packages. Few women were seen blocking the road and raising slogans alleging that the city development authority had demolished their homes and had still not given any compensation to the victims.
