Supreme Court bans plastic bags for gutka and pan masala

The Supreme Court of India has banned the use of plastic bags for gutka, tobacco and pan masala. The apex court today declared the ban on use of plastic bags for the tobacco related products. It directed the government to implement the ban by March 2011. With the implementation, gutka manufactures will have to rethink over the packing materials for their products.
