The ‘Made In India’ challenge

According to a new report, India could challenge the position of China as the manufacturing center of the world in the next three to five years. The report states that manufacturing could become the primary activity to be off shored to India, and surpass India's IT and business process outsourcing or BPO activities. China is currently the preferred off shoring destination for manufacturing activities, India is the destination of choice for IT, finance and customer service activities.
