UP's poll candidate campaigns on horse cart

Seeking to 'connect' with the masses ahead of the crucial assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh, a candidate campaigned riding on a horse-cart, giving his counterparts and rivals a much-needed lesson on austerity. An excited Naveen Pandit, contesting from the Govind Nagar constituency of Kanpur, claimed he was financially weak, due to which he chose to use horse-carts as a means of cutting expenses.
