US asked Pakistan to do more to counter militancy: Roemer

Days after the death of the world's most wanted militant, Osama Bin Laden, US Ambassador to India Timothy J. Roemer, informed reporters on Tuesday that Washington has asked Islamabad to do more in the global fight against militancy. While visiting the famous hermitage of Mahatma Gandhi in Ahmedabad, Roemer said the U.S. had urged Pakistan to go after safe havens for militants within its territory.
