Uttarakhand floods: Death toll over 550

The death toll in the Uttarakhand flash floods reached over 550 on Saturday, while thousands of the stranded pilgrims are still awaiting aid in the upper reaches of the state. Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde has arrived in the state to take stock of the rescue and relief operations and met Uttarakhand Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna.
