Valley sees spurt in suicidal deaths

Of the 111 people who attempted suicide in 2011 as many as 69 died - which sociologists attribute to weakening of the average Kashmiri's coping mechanism. They believe that the figure could be even higher, considering the large number of cases that go unreported.
