Vayalar Ravi gives no info on exuberant AI prices

Amidst reports of Air India charging heavy prices to Indians coming back from Cairo, Overseas Affairs and Civil Aviation Minister Vayalar Ravi refused to give any information on the issue. While talking to media persons in Kochi on Tuesday, he said he did not receive any such information. Air India fixed their price of Rs. 45000, which was more than double the regular one-way fare from Cairo to Mumbai. The airline justified the cost saying that it only recovered costs of the two flights operated in the last two days to rescue passengers stuck in Egypt.
